With a mission rooted in faith, healing, and unity, Lu blends lyricism, testimony, and purpose to reach hearts through music and ministry. His experiences with trauma and redemption fuel a powerful message that uplifts the broken and brings people together.

Throughout the course of his career, he has released numerous musical works, headlined events, and ministered with several marquee artists, including DJ Stussy, Cole Rose, Charles Clark, Josiah Russell, Big Lek, K-Drama, Big Iz, Sanina Barber, and Gene Hoskins. His performances have taken him across Kentucky, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, and beyond.

During his graduating semester of college, Lu Bennett endured a traumatic experience that sent him into a deep state of depression. Having been a preacher's son seeking a way back, Lu held close to his moral values and his solid foundation in God. He now seeks to utilize ministry and musicianship to bring people together like never before. He wishes to touch broken individuals whose paths may not have ever crossed. Lu Bennett realizes that sharing your story and testimony is what people need to hear. He positively influences society by aligning his passion with his purpose; Utilizing his experiences to reach others and ultimately shed light to the greatest story ever told.

Great showmanship, breath control, and new material aside - the most noticeable area of Bennett’s live show was his audience interaction. By the end of his performance, most of the planning committee was already discussing how we could get him involved for the next festival. LuMar “Lu” Bennett will, as long as he wishes, be a part of the Lexington Juneteenth Festival in some way, shape or form.
